Roads reopen in Holland after heavy rainfall

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Several roads have reopened following heavy rainfall that flooded streets in Holland Wednesday morning.

The following roads were affected by the heavy rainfall and flooding:

  • Both directions of Pine Avenue at W 1st Street;
  • The intersection of 17th Street and Ottawa Avenue;
  • The intersection of 35th Street and College Avenue.

The roads were closed for several hours Wednesday morning, but have since reopened.

The National Weather Service advises drivers who see water covering a roadway to "turn around, don't drown."
