DETROIT (WOOD) — Two people were killed and a third hospitalized after a small plane crashed in Detroit Sunday, area news outlets report.
The single-engine aircraft crashed in a vacant lot in a residential neighborhood near Hamtramck.
Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV reports a good Samaritan who heard the crash and found the burning plane was able to pull one person out; that person was hospitalized.
The names of the three people in the plane were not immediately released.
