PD: 4 stabbed during Kentwood party; 2 in custody

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating after four people were stabbed during a party in Kentwood Monday morning.

Police  were called around 12:45 a.m. for a report of a fight outside a house  in the 5700 Sable Ridge Drive SE near the intersection of 60th Street  and Wing Avenue.

The Kentwood Police Department said one person was hit in the head with a bottle and sent to the hospital.

Authorities were called back to the house around 3:30 a.m. for reports of multiple people being stabbed.

Police  said four people were stabbed with a knife and taken to the hospital.  Two were treated for minor injuries and later released. One underwent  surgery for a serious, but non-life-threatening stab wound to the arm.  The fourth victim is in critical but stable condition. 

Two men, who police are calling persons of interest, are in custody, according to the Kentwood Police Department. 

The incident remains under investigation.
