Aero Med called to crash near Ionia that closed M-66

IONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) -- Aero Med was called to the scene of a crash in Ionia County Friday evening that sent three people to the hospital.

The crash happened before 10:30 p.m. on M-66 at Tuttle Road in Ionia Township when a truck ran into a west bound car. 

Authorities say Aero Med flew the driver of the car to a hospital, where she is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries. 

Her passenger and the truck driver were also transported to local hospitals for non life-threatening injuries.

Authorities closed a portion of M-66 for nearly three hours.
