5 sent to hospital after Grand Rapids crash expected to recover

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) — Several people were hospitalized Saturday after a two-crash in Grand Rapids.

It happened around 6:31 p.m. near the intersection of Division Avenue and Burton Street.

Police said one of the vehicles was traveling north on Division Avenue at a high rate a speed when it hit a curb, causing the driver to lose control and hit a van head-on.

Four people in the van and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
