Second threat at Gull Lake schools deemed not credible

RICHLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Another anonymous threat has been made at Gull Lake Middle School. This comes after the school was closed earlier this week because of a similar incident.

Gull Lake Community Schools canceled classes on Tuesday after graffiti was discovered referencing guns at the middle school.

The district’s superintendent, Chris Rundle, issued a statement on Friday saying a third graffiti writing was found at the middle school. The graffiti said, “June 11, your next.” (sic). The statement went on to say that the district and the Kalamazoo’s Sheriff’s Department determined the threat was not credible. Therefore, the district does not plan on canceling school on Monday. The district requested the sheriff’s office to provide additional police presence at the school.
