Authorities seek tips in search for Barry Co. man

ORANGEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man who’s been missing for weeks.

Friends and family say they haven’t heard from 56-year-old David Lukins since May 26. Their concern grew when the Orangeville Township man began missing scheduled appointments.

Relatives confirm to 24 Hour News 8 that his truck had a flat tire at his home, which was locked. Family members say calls to Lukins' cellphone went unanswered and his wallet is missing.

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office became involved in the case on May 31. Deputies say they’ve repeatedly tried to locate Lukins without success.

Lukins is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair. No photo of him is currently available.

Anyone with information regarding Lukins' whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 269.948.4801.
