GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Artists registered to take part in the 10th annual ArtPrize competition has increased from last year.
Online registration closed Thursday, and 2,176 artists and artist teams have registered 2,017 entries, a 4.5 percent increase from last year’s registrations. Artists and the over 190 registered venues will connect and decide which pieces will go where.
ArtPrize is a 19-day event that features works from across the world with two $200,000 awards and another $100,000 in prizes.
ArtPrize 10 will run Sept. 19 through Oct. 7.
