Police seeking tips on illegal Grand Haven trash dumping

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand haven police are seeking tips in identifying two people who dumped construction debris in a dumpster rented by a non-profit organization.

Two people dumped a large amount of debris in a dumpster on May 28 at Sluka Field, near the intersection of Waverly Avenue and S Eastern Avenue in Grand Haven. Police said the dumpster was rented by Tri-Cities Kid’s League to clean sheds at the field.

The non-profit organization works to provide recreational baseball and softball opportunities for local children, and is responsible for paying for the disposal of the culprits’ trash.

Grand Haven police describe the vehicle as an older model, 2001-03 Chevrolet Tahoe towing a steel frame and a steel mesh trailer.
