OVID TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive when troopers responded to an assault.
Michigan State Police troopers were called to an assault around 12:25 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 400 block of Morning Glory Lane, near S Centennial Road.
Upon arrival, troopers found a 36-year-old Coldwater man unresponsive and began CPR, but were unsuccessful in their efforts. An MSP release said the man had been involved in the assault with a 40-year-old Coldwater man.
An autopsy was conducted, but authorities didn’t say if the cause of death is known at this time. Details on what led up to the assault or if it was a factor in the man’s death weren’t specified.
