ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WOOD) — John Beilein will return to Ann Arbor next season to coach the University of Michigan's men’s basketball team.
Beilein, who has been the head coach for the Wolverines since 2007, had interviewed for the same position with the Detroit Pistons. On Wednesday, he tweeted that he would be coming back to Michigan next season and “in the years to come."

Beilein has led to the team to two national championship game appearances, two Big Ten regular season titles and two Big Ten Tournament championships. He’s 248-143 at Michigan.
