Gull Lake schools closed Tuesday due to threats

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Gull Lake Community Schools is cancelling Tuesday classes after writing was discovered referencing guns at the middle school.

Superintendent Chris Rundle said in a message on the district's website that two graffiti messages were found at Gull Lake Middle School: one in the boys bathroom and the other on a classroom desk. Both said guns would be at the school Tuesday.

Rundle said officials haven't figured out who wrote the messages, so the district is closing. Added Advantage Child Care and all after-school activities on school property will also be closed. Sporting events at other locations are still on.
