5 candidates remain in EGR superintendent search

EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The East Grand Rapids Board of Education has narrowed its search for a new superintendent.

The board, whose search is being assisted by the Michigan Association of School Boards, met in May to review 29 applications before selecting five individuals to bring in for interviews.  

Natalie Bernecker, East Grand Rapids Public Schools Board of Education President, said in a release that the board was excited by the candidate field.
