OSTEGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities in Allegan County are searching for a suspect who drove away while an officer was clinging onto the suspect vehicle Wednesday morning.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office told 24 Hour News 8 that around 3:30 a.m. authorities pulled the vehicle over for a minor traffic violation on US-131 near the Allegan/Kalamazoo county line.
After the vehicle stopped, deputies say the suspect exited but then ran back to vehicle. A Plainwell police officer was clinging onto the vehicle while the suspect drove away. The officer received minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
