Cousins charged with murder of Wyoming gas station clerk

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Two cousins have been charged with murder in the deadly shooting of a gas station clerk in Wyoming.

Willie  Bryant Jr. and Gary Bryant appeared in Wyoming District Court via a  jailhouse video feed Thursday morning, three days after the shooting  death of 48-year-old Shannon Rozanski-Schoen.

The  mother of four children was shot twice while working at the Marathon  gas station on 28th Street and Buchanan Avenue Monday morning. Police  say security cameras showed Willie Bryant Jr. walk into the store,  demand cash from employees and shoot Schoen-Rozanski.

Willie Bryant Jr. is charged with felony murder, open murder,  armed robbery, felony firearm and his fourth offense of being a habitual  offender, which would magnify his sentence, if convicted.

His cousin is also charged with felony murder and his fourth offense of being a habitual offender.

During  his arraignment, Willie Bryant Jr. questioned the judge about what his  prior convictions had to do with his current charges.

After the hearing, relatives of the Bryants tried to hug and apologize to the victim’s family, but were loudly rebuffed.
