MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Sunday in Muskegon Heights.
It happened just after midnight on Jefferson Street near Barney Avenue.
Police said that the victim was shot in the chest and reportedly robbed. He later died from his injuries.
The death marks the city's first homicide of the year.
