MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (WOOD) — One person is dead after a fiery crash involving a car and semi-truck.
The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. Monday in the 5600 block of Holton Road in Muskegon County's Dalton Township, just south of Twin Lake.
A witness photo shows the semi-truck caught fire. The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office tells 24 Hour News 8 the semi-truck driver was killed.
Authorities were still at the scene around 11 a.m., working to clear up the wreckage and the load of gravel the semi-truck spilled during the incident.
The damaged Hyundai Sonata had an Illinois license plate, but authorities are withholding the driver’s identity.
The condition of the driver and what led to the crash is unclear.
