Road rage leads to stabbing in Coldwater

COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested on charges of attempted  murder after a road rage incident led to the stabbing of two people.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Hull Street in Coldwater.

It  started near US-12 and Sprague Street. The 22-year-old male suspect got  out of a vehicle he was a passenger in, ran over to a pickup truck and  stabbed the driver. The victim then followed the suspect over to the  intersection of Michigan Avenue and Hull Street, where they collided.

At  that point, the suspect ran over to the truck a second time and stabbed  the passenger. The suspect then fled the scene and was located near the  city.

The suspect is being held on two counts of attempted murder in the Branch County Jail.
