PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — A Michigan-based non-profit is giving away free gas to 100 families around Kalamazoo.
Free Gas USA Inc. will provide 100 pre-approved individuals and families on May 15 at the Sam’s Club gas station located at 7021 S Westnedge Ave. in Portage. Applicants must complete and submit a grant application form, which can be found on the organization’s Facebook page.
There is no fee to apply for the program and applications must be submitted by May 12. Applications will not be accepted the day of the event.
Free Gas USA was created during the gasoline shortage in 2008 and has worked to help provide those in need with gas to keep their lives moving.
