Crash kills 1, leaves W MI fire chief in critical condition

THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) — A crash Saturday killed a woman and left a West Michigan fire chief in critical condition.

Three Rivers trustee Dan Wilkins said Patricia Frye, 66, was killed after a minivan crashed into the motorcycle she was riding after running a red light at the intersection of Broadway Road and US-131 in Three Rivers.

Wilkins said her husband, 55-year-old Mike Frye, was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital and is listed in critical condition. Mike Frye is the fire chief of Fabius Township Fire Department.
