KEENE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Multiple horses were killed after a fire broke out at a barn in Ionia County.
It happened sometime before 12 a.m. Thursday at a barn in the 7200 block of Sayles Road near Hawley Highway in Keene Township, north of Saranac.
When authorities arrived on scene, Ionia County dispatchers say the barn was fully engulfed in flames.
Multiples horses were killed, but authorities do not have an exact number at this time. Authorities say the barn along with the horses inside were owned by one family.
