KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo officers are looking for two men after a confrontation that ended in gunfire and a carjacking.
It happened around 10:35 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Hays Park.
Two victims at the scene told officers two men approached them in an alleyway and tried to sell them marijuana. When the victims refused, one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot into the ground, police said. The suspect who fired the gun then ran from the scene. The second man stole the victims’ vehicle and drove off.
Officers quickly tracked down the vehicle. After a brief police chase, the suspect crashed the vehicle and ran from the scene.
