3 family members dead in shooting near Holland

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three family members were found dead following a shooting northeast of Holland Sunday.

The dead include two men and a woman. Their names were not immediately released, but the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says they ranged in age from about 30 to about 50 and were all related.

Sheriff's Office Capt. Mark Bennett said the shooter is no longer a threat, but would not immediately call the situation a murder-suicide.

The shooting happened in a home in the area of Eastland Court and Riley Street, west of US-31, in Holland Township.
