W. MI lottery winner: 'Never really had much for myself'

PLAINWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — An Allegan County man who’s spent his life caring for others is West Michigan’s latest lottery winner.

David Marsh of Plainwell matched all five balls in Michigan Lottery’s Lucky For Life game last week. Instead of taking the prize of $25,000 a year, he elected to receive a one-time lump sum of $390,000.

Marsh told lottery officials he picked up his ticket on his way home from his third-shift job. He visited the lottery headquarters on Monday to claim his prize.
