New Holland to open 'The Pub' in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — New Holland Brewing is branching out in West Michigan.

The nonprofit economic development group Battle Creek Unlimited is awarding the brewing company $200,000 in incentives for opening a new location at 64 W. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek’s historic district, near the Kellogg Company’s headquarters.

New Holland’s new location, dubbed The Pub, is expected to include onsite brewing and distilling, a seasonal beer garden, a lunch and dinner menu, a merchandise shop and possibly a coffee bar. The company is expected to begin renovating the space this summer, finishing the project by spring 2019.

The Pub is expected to employ approximately 50 people.

New Holland Brewing Company was founded in Holland in 1997. It expanded to Grand Rapids in 2016, when the company opened the Knickerbocker at the corner of Bridge Street and Broadway Avenue.

New Holland Brewing Company now sells its beer and spirits in 38 states and four countries.
