Muskegon homicide suspect killed by police

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — A suspect in a Muskegon homicide was shot and killed by law enforcement this afternoon in Ottawa County.  Investigators are only identifying the suspect as a 27-year-old man from West Olive.

Ottawa County deputies on scene say he was holding a gun to his wife's head outside of their mobile home in West Olive Estates off of 146th Aveune. Deputies say he was making threats and that's when law enforcement fatally shot him on Brickersville Drive. His wife was unharmed.

The incident began this morning just after 7:20 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Merrill Avenue by W Muskegon Avenue in Muskegon. 

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a 25-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man that had been shot.
