Spring storm brings winds, rain, snow and ice

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The worst of our April spring storm is behind us, but the ice will remain for some time.

That may lead to additional power outages and continued slippery roads. Winds will ramp back up Monday and the remaining ice could cause power outages then, as well.

People all across West Michigan woke to some combination of ice or snow Sunday. Areas near I-94 saw mostly a thin glaze of ice from freezing rain. Freezing rain dropped a quarter of an inch of glaze in Holland and Zeeland, making roads treacherous at times.
