Alleged victims of school sexual assault testify

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two girls who police say were sexually assaulted by a Grand Rapids Catholic Central student appeared in court to testify against him Friday.

Cameron Cross, 17, is accused of sexually assaulting two fellow students at the school in March. He was arraigned last month on assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, third-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of fourth-degree CSC.

If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

At Friday's preliminary hearing, a 15-year-old sophomore said Cross started "trying to get with" her in February and tried to kiss her.

The girl, who 24 Hour News 8 is not identifying, testified that Cross became even more aggressive while in a school elevator on a day in either February or March.
