Road Warriors refuse to cave to the cold

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The 2018 Fifth Third River Bank Run Road Warriors have had to battle more cold than usual this year as they work to raise money for charity.

Each of the Road Warriors was interviewed and selected in 2017. They commit to three practices a week as they work toward their goal of completing the 25K. Some of the runners are experienced, others are new to the sport. Each has set individual goals regarding the race and fundraising goals for local charities. 

But this has been a cold season to train. Many mornings in January were in the single digits or featured below-zero wind chills. The team still ran, embracing the cold and racking up the miles.
