ST. IGNACE, Mich. (WOOD) — Now is your chance to own a piece of the Mighty Mac.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority is selling seven sections of steel grating from the original bridge deck. Each piece is 5.5 feet wide, 38 feet long and 5 inches thick.

Buyers will likely need some help moving their piece: each one weighs approximately two tons. The bridge authority will load the grating for transport and cut each section into two pieces for “ease of shipping,” if requested.
