Victim's mom: Money behind Grand Rapids homicide

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in Grand Rapids early Monday morning.

The Grand Rapids Police Department identified the victim Monday afternoon as 28-year-old Kaharee Jamon McIntosh-Williams.

GRPD Sgt. Cathy Williams told 24 Hour News 8 that multiple people called 911 around 12:30 a.m. Monday to report hearing gunshots on the city's southeast side. When officers arrived on scene to a home in the 700 block of Delaware Street SE near Eastern Avenue, they found McIntosh-Williams with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

The victim's mother said she thought money was the motive behind the shooting.
