ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — An iconic Rockford restaurant nearly destroyed in a fire last year is now rising from the ashes.
Orion Construction says it has begun rebuilding the Corner Bar after wrapping up about two months of demolition on the site at 31 North Main Street.
Built in 1873, the Corner Bar was Rockford’s oldest brick building, according to Orion Construction. That changed in August when a fire swept through the bar, which burned for hours because of an open gas line.
