Kentwood police to hold drug take back event

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kentwood Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold an event to take back unwanted prescription drugs.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 28 at the Kentwood Police Department, located at 4742 Walma Ave. SE in Kentwood. Citizens will be able to safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs.

It will be free and anonymous, but the DEA is unable to accept liquids, needles or sharps. The goal is to remove all unused medications from homes so they can’t contribute to abuse.
