Fire breaks out at Kzoo home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Firefighters spent about four hours Saturday extinguishing a blaze at a Kalamazoo residence.

It happened around 1:43 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 700 block of S Burdick Street.

When firefighters arrived on scene, heavy fire and smoke was coming from the back of he home and made it to the attic. A City of Kalamazoo release said a truck was used to knock the flames down to allow crews to get inside the home and extinguish the fire.
