Suspect shot by MSP arraigned on unrelated charges

HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — The suspect who was shot by a Michigan State Police trooper Monday was arraigned on charges unrelated to the incident Thursday.

Ryan Miller, 36, was arraigned on charges of second-degree home invasion, possession of burglary tools, controlled substance delivery and manufacturing marijuana, and unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle.

He was shot while officers were attempting to arrest him on felony warrants Monday night. Investigators said police had information Miller would be in the parking lot at the Thornapple Valley Church on M-43 near Hastings.
