Student arrested after threat to BC-area school

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A student at Harper Creek Community Schools was arrested after making a threat on social media.

The district’s superintendent Rob Ridgeway said the student was arrested after a threat was posted on social media overnight. The student is being lodged at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.

Harper Creek Community Schools are open Tuesday after the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety determined all school buildings were safe, according to a Tuesday news release.
