Decatur schools closed Tuesday due to threat

DECATUR, Mich. (WOOD) — Decatur Public Schools has called off Tuesday classes after a threat was found written in one of the bathrooms Monday afternoon.

In a statement posted to the district's Facebook page, Superintendent Patrick Creagan did not specify in which building the threat was found or how it read, but did say the district was working with police to investigate whether it was credible.

"We anticipate that the investigation will continue tomorrow, therefore, school has been canceled," his statement continued.
