To The Point: Gov. Snyder, Lt. Gov. Calley

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Gov. Rick Snyder is still looking ahead for the future of Michigan as his tenure comes to a close.

"Now that we've got a position to where we can look toward the future, let's get the next generation with all the experience you could ask for leading us there to be prepared to take on those challenges, to deal with how mobility is going to change our life, autonomous and connected vehicles,” Snyder said. “We're the world's leader but we need to keep those things up and we actually have even more opportunity than I believe most places in the world because of how we're positioned today. Let's take advantage of that and let's lead.”

Lt. Gov. Brian Calley said training people for a new economy will be key.
