PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Two Portage elementary school principals are on administrative leave while an internal investigation is underway.
In a letter to families, Portage Public Schools Superintendent Mark Bielang said Bill Dygert was placed on paid leave Tuesday. On Thursday, a community relations manager for the district said Allison Taylor, principal at Woodland Elementary School, is also on paid administrative leave.

She also said parents received a similar letter regarding Taylor’s leave.
Taylor started with the district this school year and was in Three Rivers previously.
The community relations manager said the leave is not disciplinary and the “activity did not involve of affect students in any way.” She said this likely won’t likely be a long investigation and it doesn’t involve the police.
The district said it couldn’t legally provide any more details about the situation.
