No school in Bangor Thursday due to threat

BANGOR, Mich. (WOOD) -- Bangor Public Schools has called off Thursday classes after a threat was found written on a bathroom stall in a school bathroom.

In a letter posted to the district's website, the interim superintendent said a custodian found the threat in a boys restroom after school Wednesday. The letter did not specify in which school the threat was spotted, nor did it clarify the nature of the threat.

The school said police are investigating.

"The administration team and I want you to know we are going to consistently working to prevent any acts of violence in our schools," the letter from Interim Superintendent Lynn Johnson reads in part.
