Man sentenced to prison for threat to Kent Co. business

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids man was sentenced to time in prison for making a false threat to a Casecade Township business.

David Seastrom, 37, was sentenced to 5-20 years behind bars for one count of making a false report or threat of terrorism on Tuesday.

He was arrested in October after telling a Cascade Township business he was going to kill them all “just like they did in Vegas.” An arrest affidavit said he applied for a job at the business and was denied a job because of his criminal history. Police said Seastrom continued to call the business before making the threat.

He will receive credit for 169 days served.
