Molotov cocktails, bomb materials found inside student's home

PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — A 15-year-old student has been arrested after a threat was made against Paw Paw High School.

The  suspect, a Paw Paw High School student, was arrested Sunday in 100  block of Oak Street in Paw Paw. He is being held at Allegan County  Juvenile Center on multiple charges, according to a Van Buren County  Sheriff's Office news release.

Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel  Abbott told 24 Hour News 8 that authorities found Molotov cocktails and  materials to make pipe bombs in the suspect’s home. Authorities also  found two guns inside the home.

“I think it was going to happen (Monday) morning,” Abbott said.

Paw Paw Public Schools called off Monday classes due to the threat.

Investigators searched the high school and determined it was safe. Deputies said there is no ongoing threat at this time.
