EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Longtime East Grand Rapids football coach George Barcheski has died.
In a post on its Facebook page Sunday, East Grand Rapids Public Schools remembered Barcheski's "great impact" on students "with a lifetime of outstanding coaching, educating and mentoring." The district added he was "one of the greatest coaches in West Michigan."
