KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in a wooded area Sunday.
There is a police presence in the area of Blakeslee Street and Prairie Avenue in the city’s West Douglas neighborhood.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says the body was discovered by two people who were out walking. There are trails through the wooded area.
A source close to the investigation told 24 Hour News 8 that the body is that of a woman and does not appear to have been in the wooded area very long. Police officials did not comment on the condition of the body.
