Fire breaks out at abandoned Greenville warehouse

GREENVILLE, Mich.  — Firefighters battled a blaze at an abandoned warehouse in Greenville early Tuesday morning.

Montcalm County dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 that they received a call shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday about the fire in the 700 block of Ranney Drive at the former Northland Refrigeration plant site.

When emergency crews arrived, flames were seen coming out of the roof. Due to the age of the building, firefighters had to take a defensive strategy and couldn’t enter the building.
