Life-threatening injuries after cement truck, car collide

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was hospitalized with serious  injuries after his car collided with a cement truck near Holland  Wednesday.

The crash happened at the intersection of W. Lakewood Boulevard and  N. Anline Avenue, at the border of Holland and Holland Township.

Witnesses told Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies that a northbound car  came to a rolling stop and then proceeded into the intersection, at  which point the cement truck rammed into the driver’s side of the car.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old from Holland, suffered  life-threatening injuries, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said. Aero  Med was called to the scene.

The cement truck driver was not hurt.
