COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Kent County deputies say a mother was killed and her twin boys seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash Friday night.
It happened around 8:23 p.m. Friday night at the intersection of 15 Mile Road and Ritchie Avenue in Courtland Township.
Deputies say the 33-year-old woman was westbound on 15 Mile Road when her car was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was traveling northbound on Ritchie Avenue.
The woman died on scene. Deputies say the 5-year-old boys were taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital with life threatening injuries. Deputies are not releasing any names pending family notification.
