DETROIT (WOOD) — The search for a 2-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert is over.
Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV reports the Sondra Renee was found safe after a police pursuit ended on Meyers Road just south of 7 Mile Road in Detroit.
Two people were taken into custody, according to WDIV.
Authorities issued the Amber Alert after Sondra was forcefully taken from her aunt’s house on Detroit’s west side around 2:30 a.m., according to WDIV.
Police said Grady Lamar Barrett, 42, took Sondra after he went into the house armed with a weapon.
Barrett was believed to driving a black 2009 GMC Sierra with Michigan plate DAS 9417. A trailer with Michigan license plate D476667 was attached to the truck.
