KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A large crowd gathered in Kalamazoo Sunday evening to celebrate the life of a 1-year-old girl who was killed in a crash last week.
Standing at the intersection of North and Rose streets, where the crash happened, mourners gathered in a circle around Dasani Colbert’s mother to pray.
On Friday morning, the minivan Dasani was riding in collided with a car. The little girl was thrown from the vehicle and killed. Another child who was also ejected from the minivan, the third child and both drivers were injured.
