GRPD: Man, 29, killed in early-morning shooting; no arrests

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) — Grand Rapids police are investigating after a man was killed in an early-morning shooting.

It happened around 3:32 a.m. Sunday in the area of Bates Street and Henry Avenue. Police were called after someone reported hearing gunshots.

About 10 minutes later, police were called about a 29-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The man was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Police say no suspects are in custody.
